An absolute value and perfect marriage - The Absolute Tower + Classic B-10d 300W Powered Subwoofer package. All you need to do now is add the surround channels and a subwoofer for the best home theater you've ever owned (we're pretty sure of this...).
Absolute Tower: The Absolute Tower is the new sleek and affordable floor-standing speaker solution for high-performance music or home theater systems. The design joins together the Absolute Zero bookshelf mini-speaker with 2 newly designed 5.25" woofers (in a separate chamber) in a slender column-like enclosure. The Absolute Tower loudspeaker is an all-acoustic suspension design. Acoustic suspension designs utilize nature's perfect spring force, air, to damp and control the speaker motion like high performance shocks on a sports car. This significantly lowers distortion for long, fatigue-free listening and improves impulse response allowing subtle detail to be revealed, making everything sound more real. Acoustic suspension designs also allow incredible power handling. The Absolute Tower's floor standing cabinets are beautiful: delicate, yet incredibly robust. The Absolute Towers extensively braced cabinets are acoustically inert so unwanted cabinet vibrations will never be added to your music. They weigh in at a bit over 35 lbs. each and are constructed of medium density fiberboard. The gently sculpted base puts the Absolute Tower on stable footing and is weighted with a hidden steel plate to provide mass where it is acoustically desirable - further reducing cabinet-born resonances.
The Classic B-10d is NHT’s most ten-inch subwoofer ever. It reproduces the nuances and tonality of acoustic bass lines with subtlety yet delivers the thunder needed for film soundtrack impact. It has usable bass to 25Hz and plays loud enough to fill a large room. The B-10d features a really compact 12.6" cube cabinet, long-throw 10” woofer driven by a 300W, BASH Class D amplifier which is digitally controlled by very smart, factory programmed DSP (digital signal processing). The subwoofer has a full compliment of inputs including line level, speaker level and LFE inputs. It also offers adjustable low pass, phase and has a smart music/movie EQ switch which gives you the choice of flat for music or a bump for movies. The B-10d is housed in a high-gloss, piano-black cabinet, designed to match the rest of the Classic Series.
