Product Information
The M-80 was designed as a very high resolution/high-output "tracking" monitor. It was originally designed to be used with 1 NHT XdA per channel. We have no more XdA and need to liquidate the remaining inventory of monitors.
The M-80 uses very high-end 8" Xcel Magnesium alloy woofers, 2" aluminum dome midranges and a very expensive 1" aluminum dome tweeter. The drivers are wired directly to flush banana terminals in the cabinet rear.
THERE IS NO INTERNAL CROSSOVER! YOU CANNOT USE THEM AS IS!
All sales are final on the remaining M-80 monitors.
This product is recommended for two types of owners:
You Are A Hi-Fi Freaks - You know what an electronic crossover is and what to do with it. You will need to provide a three-way electronic crossover per channel along with three channels of amplification. Your crossover points will be roughly 700Hz, 4.5kHz.
You are a Speaker Tweak and Hobby-Boy/Girl:
If know about woofers and tweeters and impedance curves and ohms and that kind of stuff and know how to go about building your own crossover.
If you are not one of these type of people, look at another product.
