The handset also has remote controls for a Marantz receiver's power, input selection and volume. Audio and control information are all sent wirelessly via Bluetooth from the IS301handset to the IS301RX receiver.
If you'd prefer to leave your iPod in one place, simply drop the IS301 handset into its charging base, and enjoy. The charging base will keep your iPod charged an ready to go, while it streams audio wirelessly back to the IS310RX receiver. If you'd rather not use Bluetooth, the IS301 dock can also be connected to the IS301X receiver using Marantz's IS-LINK connection. This simple, reliable connection uses two CAT5 cables to link the charging base to the receiver, for the best audio performance.
Even better, if the dock and receiver are connected using IS-LINK, you can view photos and video stored on your iPod on your flat panel! Simply connect the IS301 RX's video output to your audio-video system and you're in business.
As if that wasn't enough, you can also stream audio wirelessly to the IS301RX receiver directly from your PC, Phone, or other PDA/Pad device that supports Bluetooth!
While the controls on the IS301 Bluetooth handset are designed to work with Marantz receivers, you can use the IS301 as an excellent iPod dock with ANY AV receiver or preamp. Simply connect the Analog Audio and Video outputs from the IS301RX receiver to an input on your audio component and you're in business.
