You'd be hard pressed to find a system capable of delivering more enjoyment per cubic inch than the NHT Classic Two Sub Sat system.
While similar tonally to the smaller Absolute Zero, the Classic Two adds a bit of additional deep bass extension and higher power handling for those systems where you want full-size speaker performance without a full-size speaker's footprint. A perfect match for a high-quality integrated amplifier or separates-based hifi system.
NHT has always had a soft spot in our hearts for the 6.5" two-way system. A 6.5" woofer allows the speaker to play just low enough to truly capture the detail and power found in the lowest strings of an acoustic guitar, or the left hand notes on a piano, without having to lean too heavily on a subwoofer. This makes the Classic Two Sub-Sat system a natural choice for listeners looking to extract the best sound out of their well recorded jazz and acoustic rock albums without breaking the bank.
It starts with the Classic Two, the latest in a long line of two-way 6.5 inch woofer bookshelf speakers from NHT. This time, we were able to incorporate the NHT exclusive BMC-frame woofer with our 1" aluminum dome tweeter. These two drivers blend beautifully, and provide a truly remarkable sonic picture. As you'd expect from NHT, these high-tech drive units are enclosed in a gorgeous, well-braced cabinet with a 8-Coat high gloss paint finish. No Vinyl boxes here!
Filling out the bottom end in this combination is our capable B-10d powered subwoofer. This 300-watt sealed-cabinet marvel of a subwoofer combines the deep bass accuracy and clarity you'd expect from an NHT subwoofer with the potential to rock when the moment calls for it. Not only does the B-10d sound fantastic, it's tiny, at only 12.6" on a side so it will fit into almost any decor.
