The 2.9 is a smaller version of the flagship 3.3. The 3.3's famous 12" woofer has been replaced with an equally astounding 10" unit, and the cabinet has been made slightly smaller. Otherwise, the designs are essentially identical. Like the 3.3, the 2.9 is a 4-way system, employing a 1" aluminum dome tweeter plus drivers for upper and lower midrange frequencies, along with an acoustic suspension side-loaded long throw woofer.
