Product Information
The XdW is specifically designed for use with NHT's XdA processing amplifier. The subwoofer has a 500W Power Physics amplifier built-in. The input is XLR. The XdW has a simple single volume control.
The XdW has no "tuning" or "crossover" controls and relies on the XdA to control the frequencies. If you plan on using this with a system without an XdA your AVR will need to provide all crossover functions and phase control.
If you have a consumer Xd system this will likely be your last opportunity to add an additional subwoofer to the system. Adding a 2nd XdW will allow you to use 2 additional filter sets (flat to 20Hz and high SPL filters) as well as allow your system to fill a larger room and provide flatter bass response.
