NHT SuperOne 2.1
Single Unit
The latest version of the SuperOne provides the same terrific sonics of the Super Zero with enough bass response such that a subwoofer becomes optional. The SuperOne 2.1 is very compact, measuring at just 11.6" tall x 7.25" wide x 8.5" deep. However, unlike most small speakers, which use a port, the Super One 2.1's acoustic suspension (i.e. sealed) enclosure focuses on making beautiful, lifelike midrange and high frequencies with surprisingly musical bass from its 6.5” long throw pulp cone woofer and 1” silk dome tweeter. An addition of a 2nd/3rd order crossover effectively blocks extra bass that tries to interfere with the tweeter. The compact, well-braced cabinet is purposely designed to be strong and stout in order to avoid unwanted box vibrations. As such, the NHT SuperOne 2.1 is a true-high end book shelf monitor that builds on the merits of its predecessor and can be the perfect pick for the audiophile on a budget.

NHT SuperOne 2.1
Original 30 year old Super Ones!
I just listened to some megabuck B&Ws and Def. Tech. and others today. My "cheap" Classic 3s are better and my 30 year old Super Ones are as good or better as well. I'm talking about speakers costing 4 to 12 thousand a pair! Thanks, John

NHT SuperOne 2.1
WOW !!!!
I bought these speakers as a second pair for my main system or for possible future use in a second bedroom system. Straight out the box, I already prefer them to my "main" speakers. They are more accurate, natural, transparent, and musically engaging. The real bass of these acoustic suspension speakers makes the bass on my ported speakers sound flabby in comparison. There is not a significant difference in sensitivity with my 50 watt per channel Arcam integrated amp. It is a shame that there are so few companies making acoustic suspension speakers these days, since the bass performance really is superior to ported designs. I remembered NHT from the days when we had a brick and morter dealer here that sold them. He always touted NHT as a superior value to other, better known brands and used to talk about not being able to sell a second speaker brand because people would generally prefer the NHTs. I wish I had listened to him earlier. Better late than never. NHT proves that "exotic" materials and marketing hype do not make better sound.

Love the classic sound produced when playing through a newly acquired turntable. Twenty years with several pairs in a home theatre application as well. Keep the tradition going!
