PVC Mini - a passive volume control for powered speakers.
The PVC Mini's single knob allows precise stereo level adjustments of both channels (or speakers) simultaneously. The PVC Mini features a 1/8" (3.5mm) mini stereo input and two stereo mini output jacks. Both outputs can be used at the same time to, for example, feed a pair NHT's SuperPower 2.1 active speakers from one output and feed the NHT Super 8 subwoofe, a L/R stereo signal from the second 1/8" stereo output. Both outputs are full frequency response, so you have to set the subs LP crossover point, a very useful feature for integrating the speakers and subwoofer.
The PVC Mini is normally used with powered speakers and subwoofers on your desktop connecting to your PC or Mac, iPod®, iPad® or Android® device. This allows you to open these devices' software-based volume level fully to deliver higher resolution sound and allow the PVC Mini to conveniently control the volume up or down. A DAC, like the Audioquest Dragonfly, can be added for the best music resolution. The PVC Mini includes a 1/8" to 1/8" stereo signal cable. Add two SuperPower 2.1 speakers and a Super 8 subwoofer and you'll have a complete 2.1 audiophile grade system with all cabling included.

I'm the first ? Ok...I'm so nervous...PVC Mini - a passive volume control for powered speakers.
I've had this component for 4 or 5 months now. A small, sturdy and handsome unit that sits between the legs of my Lenovo screen. Computer feeds PVC. PVC out to Tannoy 402's. Other out to two M&K subs. Ha! My computer audio is somewhat hi end. The PVC ties it all together brilliantly. V2 in the near future should stay petite like this one but have one or two more inputs. Wow! NHT! Awesome! It's All About That Bass, right Meghan?
